Children who arrive at school with symptoms of an illness will be sent home. Children may return to school when fever free without fever reducing medications for more than 24 hours, 24 hours after the last visible symptom of illness, or with a letter of clearance by a physician.
If your child should become ill or sustain an injury at school, you will be notified. An accident report will be sent home with any child involved in an accident. (A duplicate will be kept on file in the office.)
When emergency medical care is required, we will contact the names listed on your child’s Emergency Card in order of your preference, including your doctor. Should we be unable to make contact, and immediate medical help is required, we will call 911.
Teachers are not allowed to dispense medication to a sick or injured child.
Contagious diseases must be reported to the office immediately so that the parents of the child’s classmates may be notified or exposure.
Please notify the school as soon as possible when your child will be absent.
Update your telephone number or the number of the person to be notified in case of an emergency.
